Lifeguard Training Course
The American Red Cross Blended Learning Lifeguard Course includes a portion of the course being completed online, an instructor lead classroom portion and in-water skills sessions.
Upon successful completion, you will receive the following certification: Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Automatic External Defibrillator which is valid for 2 years. The American Red Cross requires candidates be 15 years old by the LAST day of the class. Candidates must pass a prerequisite swim test in order to take the class. Anyone failing the pretest will receive a refund. NO REFUNDS after the first day of class. All classes are mandatory - no exceptions. A portion of the class work (approximately 10 hours) will be done online at home. Please bring extra towels, a bathing suit, writing utensils, highlighter and paper to each class. Cost covers your PDF manual, hip pack and the American Red Cross fee. You must preregister for this class one week in advance. You will schedule your prerequisite swim and receive your link for the online portion. If you have any questions please call the Aquatics Manager Ursula Drinko at 440-717-4018.

Lifeguard Training Review
A Lifeguard recertification course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course. Please bring your hip pack, resuscitation mask, lifeguard manual, swimsuit, towel and writing utensils to each class session. All classes in session are mandatory. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/ First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years.
Section 01: Monday, October 16 & Monday, October 23: 4-9pm
Section 02: Wednesday December 20 & Wednesday, December 27: 4-9pm
Section 03: Monday, February 26 & Monday, March 4: 4-9pm

Lifeguard Instructor (LGI)
The primary purpose of this American Red Cross Basic Lifeguarding Instructor Course is to train current lifeguards to be Certified Lifeguard instructors This course uses the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course as its base and reflect the United States Lifeguarding Standards. Candidates must possess a current basic-level certification in Lifeguarding and CPR, AED and First Aid and be at least 17 years old on or before the final scheduled session of the course.

For an additional fee of $50 we can Recertify your Basic Level Lifeguard after the LGI/IT Review course. Both must be updated to be considered current under the American Red Cross standards.
