Pickleball
Pickleball is a sport that is able to cross many boundaries that most other sports cannot. A combination of traditional tennis played with a "wiffle" style ball and wooden paddle on a smaller court. The sport is aggressive but allows players the ability to take a less aggressive modification that can make the game more comfortable for the average player.
Pickleball Lessons
New to the game of pickleball? Want to learn the ropes in a fun, easy-going environment? Take a class! Certified pickleball instructor Rich Abston teaches classes. Classes are held indoors at the Broadview Heights Gymnasium for 1.5 hours and meet once a week for 3 weeks.
Fees: Members $55, Non-Members $70
Sundays: 8:30am - 10:00am & 10:00am – 11:30am
January 7th - January 21st
February 4th - February 18th
March 3rd - March 17th
Tuesdays: 5:30pm - 7:00pm & 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Pickleball League
Are you interested in taking your pickleball league to the next level? Want to meet new friends and simply enjoy the game more? Our pickleball league is for you! You will play 4 weeks of games with and against each person in the league. You are responsible for finding your own sub. The sub’s score will match the lowest score for that week. The top winner in each league will receive a $25 gift certificate to the recreation center.
Fees: Members $65, Non-Members $80
Fridays - 4 Weeks
Beginner League: 4:45pm -6:45pm
Intermediate League: 6:45pm - 8:45pm

Indoor Open Pickleball
Play is year-round at the Broadview Heights Gymnasium and is open and free to Recreation Center Members.
Monday - Friday
Advance Players: 10:30am - 12:30pm
Open Play: 12:30pm - 2:30pm
Sunday 8:00AM-11:30AM
Outdoor Open Pickleball
Held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 7AM to noon and Monday and Friday evenings from 6PM to 8PM, May through September.
Open play is free and open to all on our outdoor court located at 8938 Broadview Road. We have nets that can be set up in our Rubbermaid container. You must provide your own paddles and balls. You must also set up and take down the net. Thank you.
