In November, 2002, the Broadview Heights residents voted to participate in a utility consortium which allows the City to negotiate a discount program in their behalf. The City's contract with Volunteer Energy Services Inc. (VESI), expired and we have rejoined the North East Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) who will be our negotiating entity. The new contract will be with NextEra Energy Services, Inc. All eligible residents should have received a letter from NOPEC or Dominion East Ohio (or both) regarding the new contract. Similar to the past, the rate varies each month. If you do not wish to participate, simply OPT-OUT. If you do nothing, you will automatically be included in the discount program.
