Member Online Facility Registration
At this time, Members must register in advance online for a time slot to utilize the Pool and Gymnasium. A timeslot reservation is no longer required for the FITNESS CENTER/TRACK ONLY.
The Community and Recreation Center is open!
The Community and Recreation is currently open to members and program participants. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, limited facilities are currently available and there are new policies and procedures in place to maintain compliance with the guidelines in place. All patrons are required to review the updated protocols and procedures online at www.bhrec.org prior to visiting. Please note that masks are required unless at an exercise station – additional mask policy details are available online. We will continue to monitor all information and guidelines and will adjust protocols as required as well as adjust the open/closed status of our various facilities as mandated. In addition to operating within all of the required guidelines, our highest priority will be to offer a safe and enjoyable experience for our patrons. New memberships can be purchased in-person at the Community and Recreation Center, please review the membership information at www.bhrec.org to ensure you have the required documentation to purchase a membership prior to visiting. MAINTENANCE NOTICE: The Gymnasium and Group Exercise Studio A will be closed for annual maintenance 8/31 though 9/11. The wood floors require an annual sanding and re-coating. There will be no open gym available during this time. We appreciate your patience!

INFORMATION ON PROGRAMS, FACILITY RENTALS AND EVENTS:
GOLF SIMULATOR: The Golf Simulator is now open! Call 440-838-4522 to make a reservation. No drop-ins are permitted at this time. Max 4 patrons per reservation. Masks are required. All patrons must bring their own equipment and sharing of equipment not permitted.
JAZZERCISE: Jazzercise classes are available! Contact: email@example.com.

SILVER SNEAKERS CLASSES WILL RESUME IN SEPTEMBER: Additional information will be available soon!
GROUP EXERCISE PASSES: We will be working to bring the group exercise classes back as soon as possible. As we build the class offering back up, we initially will not be able to offer as wide of a variety of classes as we did previously. As a result, we have issued a household credit for all Broadview Heights Group Exercise Passes at this time. Group Ex patrons can use the household credit for future Group Ex classes or anything else offered by the Parks and Recreation Department. If you prefer a refund, you can complete a refund request form online at www.bhrec under the “forms” tab.
COMMUNITY EVENTS: All events have been cancelled/postponed through 11/1/2020 with the exception of the Community Garage Sale on Saturday, September 12th. Please note: There will be NO sales on the city campus this year.

Sign up for a free fitness orientation with Prescription Fitness in the fitness center!
Offered to all ages. All children ages 12 to 14 MUST complete the course prior to using the fitness center. Children age 12 must be directly supervised by an adult while using the facility after completing the course. There is no free weight use for patrons under 15 years of age.
AQUATICS: Private/Semi Private/Small Group Swim Lessons
We will soon be offering private (one on one) semi private (two students) and small group (up to four students) swimming lessons. You must purchase a five pack of lessons, then contact the Aquatics Manager Amanda Hutcheson at Ahutcheson@broadview-heights.org to setup your lesson times. Fees will include a 5 pack of 30 minute lessons. Pass sales will begin soon. You can contact the Aquatics Manager now to express interest and be added to a contact list. More information will be available as soon as possible at www.bhrec.org.
TENNIS: Tennis program for kids ages 7 to 16 held in Broadview Heights. All lessons will be held on the tennis courts at “The Fields” sports complex in Broadview Heights located at 8938 Broadview Road. Participation is open to students of novice skill levels. Any rain outs will be made up on October 8th only. Min 6, Max 8. Class is taught by Chris Willman. Participants must wear a mask during class. Thursdays: 9/3-10/1 (rain makeup date 10/8 only)

FACILITY RENTALS: We are currently honoring reservations for select small group corporate rentals only at this time (25-person max.). If you are interested in a future rental, you can complete an online facility rental request at www.bhrec.org. All other facility rental contracts are not currently being approved but we are accepting requests so that we can process these once rentals become available. TENNIS COURTS: Re-opened on Tuesday, May 26th. Guidelines, mandates and safety signage are posted. Maximum capacity inside the tennis court fencing is 10. Wear a mask or face covering when entering courts or interacting in close proximity to others.
OUTDOOR PICKLEBALL: Pickleball is available at the outdoor tennis courts at select times and new guidelines for safe play have been posted. Maximum capacity inside the tennis court fencing is 10. Wear a mask or face covering when entering courts or interacting in close proximity to others. Nets are available in the storage box at the courts: T/TH 9am to Noon and M/W 6pm to 8pm.
PLAYGROUNDS ARE OPEN! While playgrounds are now open, families are asked to follow the guidelines below provided by the Ohio Department of Health and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. The Parks and Recreation Department will sanitize playgrounds weekly.
• PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING – Stay 6’ apart (about 2 arms’ length) and avoid congregating.
• WASH YOUR HANDS OR USE HAND SANITIZER – Bring hand sanitizer and use before entering the playground and immediately after use of playground.
• WEAR A FACE COVERING AT ALL TIMES (over age 10).
• FOOD & BEVERAGES – Please do not bring food or beverages to the playground.
• DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE SICK OR EXHIBITING ANY COVID-19 SYMPTOMS.
RESTROOM FACILITIES: A restroom is available at “The Fields” maintenance building M-F when full time staff are scheduled, typically 7:30am to 3:30pm. The restroom building at the playground on the City Campus is available M-F 8AM to 7PM and weekends 8AM TO 3PM. There are portable restroom units available at The Fields and on the City Campus.
WHILE VISITING OUR OUTDOOR FACILITIES, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:
• Masks are required when outdoors and unable to consistently maintain a distance of six feet or more from individuals who are not members of their household.
• Athletic fields and basketball courts are currently closed, except for Parks and Recreation Department programming.
• The ODH is requiring that individuals must at all times or as much as reasonably possible, maintain social distancing of 6 feet from any other person with the exception of family or household members.
• All public and private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a single household or living unit are prohibited, with the exception of household or family members.
• Any gatherings of 10 people or more is prohibited.
• Stay home if you are sick and practice good hygiene. Wash your hands after touching surfaces. Avoid touching your face. Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow. Place garbage in trash receptacles.
