Broadview Heights summer lacrosse (formerly Burning River Lacrosse) is a recreational lacrosse program for boys of all skill levels. Players will be coached by middle school and select high school lacrosse coaches as well as current high school and college players.
Each week the format will be 45 minutes of skill development and drills and 45 minutes of games. All games and practices will take place on the fields outside the Broadview Heights rec center on Wednesday evenings.
There will be six weeks of games/practices beginning June 14th and running through July 26th. Times are listed below.
There are no games/practices the week of July 5th.
4th grade and under age groups will play from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Wednesdays
5th and 6th grades will play from 6:30 to 8:00 Wednesdays
7th and 8th grades will rotate times each week.
Each lacrosse player (3rd grade and above) must bring a full set of equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, athletic cup, mouth piece, and stick) to each game/practice. Goalies must wear a throat guard.
1st and 2nd grade participants need only a stick and mouth guard.
Participants will be required to purchase a maroon and white reversible lacrosse pinnie at an additional cost of $25. Former participants who currently have a Burning River pinnie are not required to purchase a new one.
