Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

The City of Broadview Heights is holding its Memorial Day observance on
Monday, May 27, 2019, starting at 9:00 a.m. A parade serves as the gathering ceremony for the memorial service which honors our fallen soldiers. Veterans, dignitaries, military families, sports teams, organizations, businesses, classic cars, and marching bands from Brecksville-Broadview Heights and North Royalton High Schools will be participating.

The parade will gather at The Crossings Shopping Center at 8:30 a.m. on West Royalton Road and step off at 9:00 on Broadview Road, just north of Route 82.

Spectators are invited to join the end of the parade and follow it to the Broadview Center where there will be a memorial ceremony, veteran tribute, and refreshments.

The parade serves as the gathering ceremony for the memorial service, which honors our fallen soldiers.  In order to insure that our remembrance is well attended, we are inviting everyone to participate in the parade – scouts, public officials, clubs, marching bands, sports teams, unique vehicles, businesses, etc. – but most especially…Veterans and military families.

  • The parade will gather at 8:30 am at The Crossings Shopping Center on West Royalton Road.  It will step off at 9:00.
  •  As always, parade observers are encouraged to join the end of the parade and follow it to the Broadview Center.
  • Though it is not a promotional opportunity, businesses can participate provided their vehicle is tastefully decorated in a patriotic theme.
  • We invite youngsters and their families to decorate their bikes and be part of the parade.
