    The Spotlights Theater presents the first of its "Theater For Young Audiences" (TYA) Series. Supported by a grant from the Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, TYA strives to present quality shows that will introduce children and families to the wonders of live theater through pre-show programming. In this quirky adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure, James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree. He discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach...and launches a journey of enormous proportions. The Spotlights' Education Director, Tim Anderson, is directing the show which features Nick Beiser, Ryan Bergeron, Adam Bowers, Kevin Cline, Tara Corkery, Lexi Frendak, Stephanie Malfara, Peggy Newton, and Ellie Ritterbusch.

    Sponsored by Chippewa Garden Club, the presentation is "Garden Renovation: Transform your yard into the garden of your dreams." Landscap designer, Bobbie Schwartz, has written a book to guide us. She is the owner of Bobbie's Green Thumb in Shaker Heights. Gardens, like houses, sometimes need makeovers. The changes can be a minor as replacing a shrub or as major as pulling up everything and starting from scratch. She will teach how to evaluate plants, determine what to keep or remove, choose the right plants, and how to know when to hire help. Books will be available for purchase and there will also be a book signing. This presentation follows the regular meeting. All are welcome.
