BROADVIEW HEIGHTS BUILDING COMMISSIONER

 

The City of Broadview Heights is seeking an experienced, qualified individual for the position of Building Commissioner. The successful applicant will be responsible for enforcement of State of Ohio Building Codes, as well as the Broadview Heights Zoning and Planning and Property Maintenance Code.  Qualifications include a minimum of a high school diploma, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and current Ohio Board of Building Standards Certifications: Building Official, Building Inspector and Plumbing Inspector or Building Inspector and Electrical Safety Inspector; as well as Residential Certifications.  Possession of additional State of Ohio Certifications or the ability to obtain multiple BBS Certifications is desirable. Candidate must have good public relations skills, computer skills and the ability to prepare written reports.  The City of Broadview Heights provides an exceptional work environment with an excellent benefits package, including medical and OPERS retirement.
