Interested in working out in a fun, open air environment? Come try our outdoor exercise classes taught by Pam Benedict. The following series of classes will be sure to whip you into shape with no walls attached. Classes take place on the following Saturdays from 8:15am until 9:15am. Please meet at the recreation center lobby before venturing outside. Bring a water bottle and outdoor mat. Classes meet rain or shine but will be postponed in the case of extreme weather.
Section 1: June 24th– Total body conditioning. This class encompasses cardio interval training with body weight resistance training. We will use interval training techniques that combine cardio, conditioning and strength training to target the upper body, core and lower body. Be prepared to work hard!
Section 2: July 29th – Yoga.Surya Namaskar, a.k.a., Sun Salutations. One of the means of honoring the sun is through the dynamic asana sequence of Sun Salutations. We will practice this Yoga warm up routine of gracefully linked asanas, to prepare the body, mind and spirit to greet the day.
Section 3: August 26th – Fitness scavenger hunt. This class combines the use of our outdoor trail and physical obstacles for a fun and challenging workout. We will use our surroundings in a creative way for a full body experience.
Class minimum 5, maximum 20.
