This in-depth course will provide the student with the ability to care and understand children of all ages, infant to 10 years old. You will learn the importance of decision making and problem solving. Babysitting business; Where and how to find babysitting jobs and preparing for an interview. Safety on the job: including children and home, including basic first aid. You will practice changing a diaper, feeding an infant and toddler. Bring in your doll or small teddy bear to practice diapering. You will also make healthy snacks and go home with many new ideas on playing and entertaining the children. Bring a bag lunch and your bathing suit and towel. We will end each class with a dip at the Splash Park! You must attend all days to receive your digital certification for Babysitter’s Training certification. Age requirement is 11-16 years old. This course teaches potential babysitters good leadership qualities and important decision-making skills. Each student needs to bring a baby doll to class for diapering and bottle-feeding.
